My connection began when Mark Mantey (from Ghana) invited me to meet his family. In 1994 I travelled out to Ghana and was bowled over by the work there. As Chaplain to Christ the King Sixth Form Centre I started a link with Ahotokurom that resulted in raising funds for the Community Centre at ‘Camp’. Built in 1996, it was the first proper concrete building on the site. From then on I helped develop a range of projects and connections with parishes in Southwark Diocese including Rainham Parish who established a Scholarship Scheme and my current parish Catford who supported the Housing Project.
